Fix: 5 Problems Plague The Amazon Echo

1. Alexa Won’t Connect To Wifi: If your Echo speaker is not continuously connected to your network, there are some ways to fix connection problems.

First, the power-cycle everything routers, modems and Alexa speakers. Then, try streaming audio for a few minutes to see if the issue occurs again. If so, try moving the speaker away from other devices, preferably closer to the router, and try switching the speaker to a 5GHz channel to minimize interference.

2. Alexa did not understand what you said: "I am sorry, I did not understand this" a phrase often spoken by Alexa. This is when the voice assistant did not understand what you said. Luckily, Amazon has added a new feature that allows you to ask Alexa what she has just heard. You can tell "Alexa, tell me what you heard" to know what you said.

You will also want to ensure that the eco washer, positioned in an open space away from noisy household items such as dryers and dishwashers. It can hear you better, then.

You can use the Voice Training in Alexa app, a tool in your profile settings. You will read 25 phrases aloud in a "distinctive voice from a specific distance" so that Alexa can gain a basic understanding of your pronunciation and rhythm.

3. Alexa cannot find your smart home devices: Amazon Echos supports a long list of smart home devices. The growing list includes equipment such as Ecobee 3 and lines from companies such as Honeywell, Instinct, LifeX, Nest, Philips Hue, and Wink. Even more devices and services have added official Alexa assistance through skills that help that service or device take your verbal orders.

To add a new device, open the Alexa app> add device> select the device you want to add and follow the instructions in the app. Even if the tools are not supported natively and you don't have the skills, you're not completely out of luck. Alexa has an official IFTTT channel and is also integrated with Yonomi, both of which have an extensive list of supported smart home devices.

If you've already connected your devices, but Alexa can't seem to connect them, there are some solutions. Check the command you are using, aka your invocation. The orders differ between different tools, skills, and connected services, such as IFTTT. They can be oddly specific commands, and small differences in device fonts or names can throw Alexa for loops.

Some smart home devices have trouble staying connected due to software issues, crowded networks, always or other issues. Powering the connected devices and restarting them will usually fix any connectivity issues you are having. If that doesn't fix the problem, try rebooting the speaker, remove the device that is working above and reattach it once.

Alarms and notifications are very loud: You may have noticed when the timers or alarms go off, the sound is much louder than the playback volume of Alexa. This is because the alarm and timer volume is controlled separately inside the Alexa app.

To set the alarm, timer, and notification volume, open the Alexa app on Android or iOS and go to Devices> [your device name]> and drag the slider to the volume level you want.

Issues of streaming music with Spotify: Amazon's Alexa speakers are capable of streaming music from third party services like Spotify, iHeartRadio, TuneIn and Pandora. Among them, Spotify seems to have more hiccups than other services, including randomly pausing and sometimes not playing music for no good reason.

There is no fixed fix for errors, but a good start to troubleshooting the problem is to reboot the speaker. Formerly unlink your Spotify account and sign in again.

You need to unlink Spotify, open the Amazon Alexa app and go to Settings> Music> Spotify. Tap Disable Skill and Confirm Disable Tap. Next, use the instructions to log in to your account again and tap Enable to follow them.

As someone who has had to deal out bans on various platforms and then listen to people bitch about how they just didn't understand while I couldn't call them on their bullshit, I can tell you, either you aren't telling the whole story or you just aren't thinking. This doesn't just apply to Cash App, but also marketplaces or forums or anywhere online.

Reasons why you are probably cash app banned:

Was your avatar suggestive, featuring nudity, or otherwise offensive? How about your display name? Seriously, stop putting a photo of your credit card on there, you aren't impressing anyone.

I know you all think you are edgy and hilarious, but if you have subjects mentioning drugs or sex acts a lot, you're not gonna have a good time. Remember, they don't know you or your friends and this is what they judge you by.

Also, don't be buying or selling premium Snapchat/Instagram/Dropbox. They are on to you and that's never allowed unless its an actual porn site.
Raffles, SouSous, blessings, tithes, flips, that shit is never allowed. Period. Most of it falls under gambling and is illegal in some states so it tends to just get a blanket ban.

Stop sharing accounts. You ain't that slick. Don't link to someone else's, don't verify for someone else, don't use anything with someone else's name, don't log in on their computer or phone. You'll probably fuck up their account.

This is by no means a comprehensive list. In short, think. They don't know you and they see a small snippet of you and that is all there is to go by. If you look shady, you're gonna get banned. Especially where money is involved.

Is it fair? No, but stop looking sketchy and maybe you won't get a generic email telling you sorry, not sorry. The people in charge have to cover their butts cause if they let you keep doing it and it turns out it wasn't a joke, they can get in trouble too. And they don't have time to fight with you about it, they have people who don't look shady to help.
